Associate (Guidewire - Developer / QA / ETL) (PwC Acceleration Center Kuala Lumpur)

Location: PwC Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia At PwC, our people in business application consulting specialise in consulting services for a variety of business applications, helping clients optimise operational efficiency.

These individuals analyse client needs, implement software solutions, and provide training and support for seamless integration and utilisation of business applications, enabling clients to achieve their strategic objectives.

As a Guidewire developer at PwC, you will specialise in developing and customising applications using the Guidewire platform.

Guidewire is a software suite that provides insurance companies with tools for policy administration, claims management, and billing.

You will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing software solutions that meet the specific needs of insurance organisations.

We are looking for a reliable, contributing member of a team who can adapt to working with a variety of clients and team members.

You are expected to take ownership and consistently deliver quality work that drives value for our clients and success as a team.

You will build a brand for yourself and open doors to more opportunities.

Responsibilities

Proactively support various aspects of project delivery and contribute to client deliverables.

Assist in simplifying, standardizing, and automating tasks to build reusable digital assets.

Earn relevant certifications and digital badges through internal learning platforms.

Develop digital, domain, and business acumen to contribute effectively to engagements.

Follow compliance and professional standards diligently.

Build strong internal relationships and represent the PwC brand effectively.

Required Skills

Knowledge or hands‑on experience with Java and algorithms.

Familiarity with programming languages such as C, C++, HTML, .NET (added advantage).

Strong grasp of OOP concepts, Tomcat server, and similar technologies.

Exposure to scripting languages (Python, Shell Script, Oracle, SQL).

Awareness or experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience working with Windows/Linux operating systems.

Exposure to Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Pair Programming) and tools like Jira, TFS.

Added advantage: Familiarity with JDP, Digital SDK & UI Extension.
